Don Corrieri - biography

Originally from Baltimore, Don began creating music in the late 80's.  By 1989 he had his first record deal, landing two tracks on HOT Record's classic Industrial Waste CD.  Soon after, he had a single and music video (FSTech’sDesires”) which aired on MTV's 120 Minutes.  During the 90's, he had more than 25 commercial releases. Several tracks were licensed to major cds including Instinct Record's Trancefusion and Chemical Brother's mix compilations.

In addition to his own projects, Don began collaborating with other musicians, as engineer and producer.  From '94-'98, Don’s talents earned him the reputation of having one of the hottest studios in Baltimore.  His clients included gold record selling DJ Kool and house legends DJs Pope and Oji.   In '95, Don formed Gargoyle Records with local DJ and promoter, Tony Pegas.   Gargoyle went on to becoming one of the leading domestic breakbeat labels.

In 1998, world-renowned DJ Keoki commissioned the Gargoyle team to move to Los Angeles and collaborate with him and Daniel Ash (Bauhaus, Love & Rockets).  Don spent the next four years at some of the top studios in LA including Larabee, NRG, and Extasy, working along side and learning from the best producers and engineers in the industry.  In 2002, Don returned to the East Coast and setup shop in the heart of South Beach, Miami.  Then in  Spring '09 Don headed back to California, and is currently based in Manhattan Beach.  He works in all popular genres including Pop, R&B/Hip-Hop, Rock and Electronica.
